The Disability Discrimination Act 1995
From 2004 it is now unlawful, for those providing services directly to the public, to
do so on different terms to a disabled (blind/partially sighted) person.
In short, this means more and more businesses and organisations are becoming DDA
compliant by installing Braille/Tactile Signs.
A Braille/Tactile Sign is designed to be used by blind & partially sighted people
Together with normally sighted people.
It looks similar to a normal sign, with some subtle differences.
